Session Replay

Watch real user sessions to debug issues and understand behavior

Session Replay lets you watch recordings of real user sessions — every click, scroll, and page navigation — to debug issues and understand how people actually use your product.

How it works

Pishoniq's session replay uses the rrweb library to capture DOM mutations and user interactions. Recordings are stored alongside the rest of your session data and made available in the dashboard.

Viewing a session

  1. Open the Sessions page in the dashboard.
  2. Click any session row to see details: duration, pages visited, device, country, and event timeline.
  3. Click the play button to watch the full session replay.

Each session has a shareable URL — useful for bug reports and team discussions.

What gets captured

  • DOM changes — Full snapshots and incremental mutations
  • User input — Clicks, scrolls, focus, and form interactions
  • Navigation — Route changes and history events
  • Console logs — Errors and warnings (optional)
  • Network activity — XHR and fetch requests (optional)

What is NOT captured

  • Form field values (passwords, credit card numbers, PII)
  • Cross-origin iframes
  • Content from third-party widgets (Stripe Elements, Google Maps, etc.)

Privacy controls

Pishoniq redacts form inputs by default. You can configure additional redaction:

Storage and retention

Recordings count toward your event quota. Replays are retained for the same period as the rest of your session data (30 days on Free, 365 days on Pro, 730 days on Business and Enterprise).
